Personal boundaries are guidelines, rules or limits that a person creates to identify reasonable, safe and permissible ways for other people to behave towards them and how they will respond when someone passes those limits.
Protecting your most valuable asset...YOU, is another form of Self Care! We’ve all heard the saying ‘teach people how you want to be treated’, know when people are over-stepping and being less than respectful. You set the rules of engagement when it comes to your time, space and energy.
Exercise courage in setting safe limits even if it means making yourself ‘conveniently’ unavailable! Set safe limits without limiting your thinking! Don’t give up on the person you are becoming!
