What season are you in?

SEASONS... a time characterized by a particular circumstance or feature, activity or phenomenon.

This term is commonly used in reference to periods of our life when there a shift or change, including, relationships, careers, growth, and if you’re familiar with Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, then you know there are countless examples of seasons and timing.

Someone who understood this well once told me everything happens in cycles and they knew when a cycle was coming to an end and it would be time to begin something new, like a career change. This made me think, had I become complacent? During that time I couldn’t imagine a lot of change, I was conditioned to think and believe that if something disrupted my stability, security and comfort it was an attack or I was doing something wrong which always resulted in stress, anxiety and even depression I had no concept of cycles and seasons. I’m so thankful for growth and understanding in this area, without seasons that produced an array of experiences I don’t think I would have evolved in my life to where I am today.

Think about this in relationship to weather... When the weather changes during seasons (winter, spring, summer, fall) what do we do? We adapt, we prepare, we adjust, we endure, we know and believe it’s temporary, we know it’s just for a season.
